Surely you have all wondered about the old question about life after death. There has not been any concrete evidence up until now, however, some doctors from the Technische Universität of Berlin have said that they have proven that there is some kind of an existence after death. They have concluded this with clinical experimentation which included medical supervision of a near-death experience. With this experience the patients were clinically dead for 20 minutes before they brought them back to life.
The Study on Life After Death
This process was actually repeated on 944 volunteers over the last four years. What they used were a mixture of complex drugs like epinephrine and dimethyltryptamine. They helped the body to survive clinical death and to reanimate the patients without any damage. Then, the scientists put the same patients in a temporary comatic state which was induced by drugs filtered by ozone from the blood during the reanimation process 18 minutes later.
This experiment was possible due to a new cardiopulmonary reaction (CPR) machine called AutoPulse. This type of equipment has been used in the last years to reanimate people who have been dead for 40 minutes up to an hour.
The team of scientists monitored the operations and then talked to the subjects. They all claimed that they had memories from their clinical death. Of course there were some variations, but still, they described similar sensations.
Most Common Memories of Patients and Conclusions
The most common memories of the patients were a feeling of detachment from the body, levitation, total serenity, security, warmth, the experience of absolute dissolution, and the presence of overwhelming light.
The scientists say that they do realize that these conclusion might shock some people. For instance, the religious views and beliefs of the patients had no incidence at all on the sensations and experiences they experienced at the end of the experiment. In fact, there were Christians, Muslims, Jews and atheists as well.
Moreover, the near-death experience has been a topic for a long time in some medical journals. They believe that it is similar like having hallucinations. However, Dr. Ackermann and the German team see this type of an experience as evidence for the afterlife and a form of dualism between mind and body.
“I know our results could disturb the beliefs of many people” says Mr Ackermann. “But in a way, we have just answered one of the greatest questions in the history of mankind, so I hope these people will be able to forgive us. Yes, there is life after death and it looks like this applies to everyone.”.
What do you think? Do you think this experiment is valid and is there life after death? Make sure you share this with your friends.
